COMPANY OVERVIEW

AML3D, established in 2014 and listed on the Australian Securities Exchange in 2020, is the original equipment manufacturer of ARCEMY® industrial metal 3D printers. Using a patented Wire-arc Additive Manufacturing process (WAM®) and proprietary software WAMSoft® and AMLSoft™, ARCEMY® provides Defence and suppliers to defence with a manufacturing solution that is capable of metal 3D printing parts stronger, faster and greener than traditional methods.

ARCEMY® is one of the largest commercially available open-air metal 3D printers available to the industry, providing an all-in-one, turnkey solution for the manufacture of medium to large-scale metal components. The industrial 3D printing system provides endless part manufacturing capability and can be configured to suit specific manufacturing requirements.

PRODUCTS

ARCEMY® Edition

ARCEMY®, pronounced Ark-em-ee, is AML3D’s advanced commercial solution for enhancing metal part manufacturing across a range of defence domains. Designed to improve supply chain resilience through Wire Additive Manufacturing (WAM®), ARCEMY® systems are offered in four standard configurations to suit diverse production needs. The Small Edition features a robotic arm with a reach of up to 79”, while the flagship ARCEMY® X Edition extends up to 122”, enabling the manufacture of medium to large-scale components.

Each ARCEMY® system includes a positioner and a robotic pedestal to maximise precision and accessibility during the WAM® process. Key components such as a dynamic cooling blower and a Fronius TPS 500i welder with an integrated wire feeder ensure stable, controlled weld properties and consistent metal deposition. A premium welding tip, combined with advanced sensor technology, enables high-speed, reliable data collection to AMLSoft®, improving process monitoring and productivity.

In addition to manufacturing capabilities, ARCEMY® Education is available to support academic institutions and technical training centres. This configuration offers tailored solutions for teaching and research in metal additive manufacturing, bridging the gap between industry standards and educational environments. The ARCEMY® systems are built with industrial robustness in mind:

  • ARCEMY® Enterprise Edition supports a weight capacity of up to 1653 lbs,
  • ARCEMY® X Edition accommodates up to 6,000 lbs, making it ideal for heavy-duty applications in defence, aerospace, and maritime sectors. AML3D’s ARCEMY® Wire Additive Manufacturing systems can be customised to suit specific manufacturing requirements. Customisations include placing into containers for ease of transport, rotational tables, linear rails and increased capacity positioners. The largest customised ARCEMY® system in operation features a 157” linear rail and is capable of manufacturing parts up to 24,000 lbs and 1,236 cubic feet of metal.
