COMPANY OVERVIEW

Dovetail Electric Aviation is pioneering the conversion of small aircraft into electric. Our retrofit technology replaces conventional turboprops with DovePowerTM electric motors and DovePackTM modular aviation batteries, delivering cleaner, quieter and more affordable operations. We also integrate range extenders for longer flights, particularly suited for Special Missions, including Defence. With programs in Spain and Australia, we are developing the world’s first certified electric Cessna Caravan and hybrid-electric King Air. Our technology can cut fuel emissions entirely, lowering operating costs up to 40%, extending the life of existing aircraft fleets-offering airlines and communities a practical, near-term path to sustainable aviation.

PRODUCTS

  • Electric retrofit technology – Conversion packages for CS-23 aircraft (Cessna Caravan, Beechcraft King Air, Pilatus PC-12, Twin Otter) replacing turboprop engines with Dovetail’s proprietary DovePowerTM propulsion system and DovePackTM aviation batteries
  • Zero-emission aviation – Enables airlines and operators to eliminate fuel emissions on short regional routes, reducing operating costs by up to 40% while lowering noise for community acceptance
  • Hybrid-electric platforms – Development of dual-energy systems (battery + turbogenerator/hydrogen fuel cell) to extend range for larger aircraft and longer missions
  • Low noise electric propulsion systems – For Defence applications like surveillance, reconnaissance and law enforcement activities
  • DovePackTM modular batteries – Aerospace-grade, direct immersion-cooled battery systems available as standalone products for third-party aircraft, eVTOLs, drones, and hybrid-electric platforms
  • Engineering and integration services – Expertise in aircraft modification, certification pathways, and turnkey conversion of existing fleets to electric propulsion
  • Conversion and maintenance facilities – Establishing industrial hubs in Spain and Australia to deliver certified retrofits and long-term support, with interest in securing partners in the Middle East
  • Strategic partnerships – Collaborations with leading airlines (Air Nostrum, Volotea, Rex Airlines) and aerospace industrials (ITP Aero, Aciturri) to accelerate adoption and certification

DISCRIMINATORS

  • Proprietary technology – In-house DovePackTM aviation batteries (immersion-cooled, modular, aerospace safety certified) the most compact in the market, ideal for integration with existing and new airframes. Low noise, high efficiency DovePowerTM electric propulsion systems, ideal to power CS-23 aircraft with more than 700kw per motor
  • Lower operating costs – Up to 40% savings in fuel and maintenance compared with conventional turboprops
  • Rapid market entry – Retrofit strategy delivers zero-emission aircraft years ahead of clean-sheet OEM programs
  • First mover advantage – World’s first retrofit program to fully electrify the best sellers single engine and twin engine in the CS-23 aircraft category, the Cessna eCaravan and the Beechcraft King hAire
  • Scalable industrialization – Pilot battery line and planned conversion centres in Spain/Australia, with capability to scale globally, particularly in UAE
  • Airline-backed – Strategic investors include Volotea, Air Nostrum, Rex Airlines, ensuring strong operator input and early adoption
  • Dual-energy flexibility – Pathway to hybrid (battery + turbogenerator first, with hydrogen fuel cells later) for longer ranges and larger aircraft
  • Community & regulatory advantage – Significant noise reduction enables operations from sensitive or urban airports
